In Switzerland, there is no legal requirement for workers to pass a physical exam before performing dangerous work at height.
The employer is however bound to only employ workers with proper training and who are physically and mentally suited for the job.
A worker’s health cannot be allowed to put himself or others at risk on the job.
At risk training sessions for working at height, it is recommended that the participants fill out and sign a declaration of their current health condition.
The declaration confirms that the participant is free of health problems, able to take part in the training, and later able to work at height.
